Nightmare in Terra Ceia

On the afternoon of August 3, 2009 Kathleen Briles returned home with a car loaded with groceries. He plan was to prepare a special dinner for her and her husband, a local physician. As she drove onto the rural property, she noted that a car unknown to her was parked where she normally parked but she saw no one around. Parking her vehicle, she went to find the driver of the other car.
Dr. Briles returned home after dark from a long day of seeing patients. The first thing he spotted was that Kathy’s care was parked in an odd place. He then realized that the lights were out in the home. He entered and found his wife beaten to death.
